Edward Julian Caballero

I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in a motel in Las Vegas, went to high school in Texas and Tennessee, and have lived in Australia, Switzerland, and I now call Eugene, Oregon my home.
I used to have a problem with being an American then this one time I told a Spanish man that I was American, to which he proceeded to hit me in the face. Similarly, when I tell people I am a Christian their response usually reveals more about them then it does about me. I am graduating from Gutenberg College this year and I wish I could do it all over again. Neruda, Plato, Kundera, Hesse, Peck, Lewis, Kierkegaard, Shakespeare, Aristotle, and many more have shaped my understanding of the world, but none perhaps as much as my father and mother; to which I can never fully repay. I like to think of poetry as a way of revealing truth, for the spiritual benefit of my self and for others.
