LYNX and Janover

LYNX, an innovative singer songwriter who was born and raised in the mountains of Colorado, has been playing music and performing since the age of 7. Now at the age of 23, she has been breaking new ground on the live music scene.
Her style consists of an eclectic blend of folk music, hip hop and electronica. Her talents include guitar playing, singing, rhyming, live looping and outrageous beat-boxing with a message behind it all that deals with world issues today including climate change and social justice.
She has already spread her style of folky hip hop and live looping technology from Washington State to So-Cal, the Colorado Rockies to Virginia, Minnesota to British Columbia. She has jammed with and opened for acts like RAHZEL, MATISYAHU, THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT, RUSTED ROOT, BASSNECTAR, KID BEYOND, THAT 1 GUY AND MORE!
LYNX toured a festival packed summer last year with performances at The High Sierra Music Festival, Earthdance, 10,000 Lakes Festival, Floyd Fest, Burning Man, Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, The Joshua Tree Music Festival, and Nedfest to name a few.
With her debut release ‘Grain of Sand’, this one-woman show is destined to reach the ears and hearts of music lovers’ world wide.
Jamie Janover is recognized as a true musical and artistic innovator. His many talents include being a master of the ancient percussion stringed instrument called the hammered dulcimer (he won the 2002 National Hammered Dulcimer Championship), inventing an instrument he calls the "mini-kit" (a miniature amplified drum kit), playing pyrocussion (fire drums) and creating the Realmsmobile (a recumbent tricycle with the mini-kit attached, enabling him to ride and play drums simultaneously), among many other diverse creative outputs. Jamie also plays the drums, sitar, tamboura, didjeridu, tabla, congas, electric kalimba and all types of percussion instruments in his massive collection. He maintains a rigorous touring schedule year-round with many projects that he rotates through, including ZILLA (w/ Michael Travis from SCI and Aaron Holstein), duets with LYNX, quartets like PRAANG which features Steve Kimock, to large ensemble gigs with Everyone Orchestra and Meeting of the Minds among several other projects. Jamie is a veteran of hundreds of guest appearances including with: Phish, Bela Fleck, Stanley Jordan, String Cheese Incident, Umphrey’s McGee, Govt’ Mule, G. Love and Leftover Salmon, among many others. When not playing music, you can find Jamie connecting dots around the world by giving presentations on the Unified Field Theory of Nassim Haramein of the Resonance Project, creating sculptures from organic materials in nature and or practicing the art of photography.
