Jim Hinde

Jim Hinde - Singer , songwriter, storyteller and Film Maker from Seattle. A strong voice in the American folk scene…with a powerful repertoire of stories and songs of pride, passion, and life. Jim is a big man, with a big beard, a big voice, and a social activist.
Jim’s travels have been the primordial pool of which folk songs are born . . . Midwestern small town upbringing, sixties coffeehouses, Vietnam, freight trains, hopes dashed and realized, loves lost and gained, family, blue collar, white collar, no collar, search, struggle, survival, and accomplishment. Hinde’s music is the very heartbeat of the American spirit, "real folk for real folk.
Jim Hinde received the Northwest Regional Emmy Award for his documentary Pike Place Market—Soul of a City. He has toured nationally, performed on the ABC Evening News, WNBC New York and appeared in several episodes of Northern Exposure. http://www.jimhinde.com/
