Anne Feeney

90 years ago Anne Feeney's grandfather was raising hell in the streets of Pittsburgh with Mother Jones and Eugene Debs.  Anne carries on this family tradition, performing over 250 days a year "comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable" with her award-winning music.

Her anthem "Have You Been to Jail For Justice?", is being sung in jail cells everywhere, and has been recorded by Peter, Paul & Mary among others. Utah Philips and Peter Yarrow call Anne “the best labor singer in North America.”

Anne has performed and spoken as a panelist at the Social Forums in Denmark and Sweden, and in 2008 at the European Social Forum.  She has many critically acclaimed recordings, including her newest - "Dump the Bosses Off Your Back."  Rich Warren of WFMT's legendary "Midnight Special" says "If it weren't for her strong politics she might have been a pop star, because she has an amazingly effective voice. With the demise of Utah Phillips, Feeney is one of our best living radical singer-songwriters."
