Amber Jade

Amber Jade is a part of the idyllic intentional community at Breitenbush Hot Springs Resort located on a wildlife reserve in the Cascade mountains outside of Salem, OR.
A melodic and charming singer-songwriter and poetess hailing from the desert landscape of Tucson, Arizona, Amber Jade began writing music on the piano in her grandparents' basement at age 5. She displayed an undivided passion for music, poetry, art and creative writing as a child, and throughout her school years she became involved in various musical theater productions, choirs and musical groups, drawing and sculpting, writing short stories, and poetry which became the foundation for song lyrics and books. Her creative expression both musically and artistically was greatly influenced by the juxtaposition of deep inner turmoil stemming from a severely troubled childhood, and the seemingly pastoral outward projection of her life. Almost entirely self-taught, and with music as the only world to escape into as she tried to understand the contrasts between the world outside her door and the distorted home life she had to hide, she became unwaveringly committed to creating the beautiful life she longed for through music. Filled with nostalgia, hope and self-reflection, critics and fans say her performance "conveys a certain vulnerability and humanity" that they find "refreshing."
