Doug Green

Arrested in 1964 for participating in the Free Speech Movement at Berkeley stimulated Doug Green to a committed dedication of protesting injustice.  Doug has photographed police brutality at Raise the Pentagon, Peoples Park, and S.F. State Park.   Doug worked as a staff photographer for M.L.K.’s Resurrection City in Washington.   For the last 25 years, Doug has worked as an activist M.C. at festivals throughout the Northwest - starting with The Floating Lotus Opera company, The Living Theatre, The Family Dog, and on To Reggae on the River, now working at and/or emceeing about a dozen annual Northwest festivals, including the Oregon Country Fair.   Doug he has spent the last 35 years in conceiving, organizing and performing in family/tribal celebrations. He is a futurist, a feminist, anti-religionist, and a “duh!-environmentalist”.  And with a regard to time over 30,000 years ..…an optimist. http://www.douggreenmc.com/
